 Garry Scarborough

Garry has 25 years’ experience in the construction industry in New Zealand, Australia and Asia. He started as a cadet with Fletcher Construction in 1979, then worked with Beca Carter before being employed in Australia and Asia by the Concrete Construction Group.
Garry proved himself as a leading Commercial Manager in the Australian building construction industry, his project administration included the Nikko Hotel in Potts Point and Ramanda Renaissance Hotel in Pitt Street – two major undertakings, the high-tech Sydney Futures Exchange and the Holiday Inn in Coo gee. These successes led to his assignment to Thailand in early 1992 to help establish Concrete Construction Group’s office in Bangkok.
Garry was a key part of the senior management team and he was involved in projects ranging from a luxury resort and superstore to Thailand’s tallest building, the 89 storey Baiyoke II Tower. Garry returned to Australia in 1994 to rejoin Concrete Construction Group’s New South Wales division where he concluded the First Government House project and led tender teams.
Garry returned to Auckland in 1995 and shortly after formed Scarbro Construction Limited.
